Goodreads Synopsis: Anna is looking forward to her senior year in Atlanta, where she has a great job, a loyal best friend, and a crush on the verge of becoming more. Which is why she is less than thrilled about being shipped off to boarding school in Paris–until she meets Étienne St. Clair. Smart, charming, beautiful, Étienne has it all…including a serious girlfriend. But in the City of Light, wishes have a way of coming true. Will a year of romantic near-misses end with their long-awaited French kiss?
My Thoughts: ( I would suggest you DON’T read this if you haven’t read Anna and the French Kiss.) I loved this book. The last two book I read I didn’t like all that much but the second I started reading Anna and the French Kiss I knew I’d love it. It was my exact type of book, young adult romance, with a pleasent to read writing style, good characters that you grew close to throughout the book and even though at times it was very cheesy, I still couldn’t help but enjoy it immensely. Anna as a main character wasn’t annoying and I liked reading from her perspective. Anna also loves movies the same way I love books and she reviews movies like I review books so that was something that I could relate to her with. Although Étienne was very stereotypical in a YA, romance way I still really enjoyed him and him and Anna together. I also really liked Josh who you didn’t even see very much throughout the novel but I just really liked him and his humour. The reason why it wasn’t a 5/5 star book for me was because I didn’t like how Anna didn’t tell the school principal what Amanda said about Mer. I think she should have just said it and she would have saved herself from detention and got Amanda in the trouble she deserved. Other than that I really loved Anna and the French Kiss and would highly recommend it if you love contemporaries or even if you don’t normally read contemporaries!
